Drainage Issues From the Monsoons This Week!

Drainage issues from the monsoons this week…Thank God the sun is now out!

If you are like us, you are wondering how long it will take for the huge puddles or “creeks” running through your yard to go away. Good news is that it is sunny today. Bad news is it is supposed to rain again in two days. South Carolina weather is so crazy. We go from having snow, to 75 degree weather, to torrential down pouring of rain and tornado’s in a matter of days. Drainage issues are hard to detect after times like this. If you still have standing water after a few days of clear sunny weather, you need to have it checked out.  Especially if that standing water is close to the house.

Standing Water – Possible Drainage Issue

Did you know that standing water is an indication of drainage problems.  Wet areas, not necessarily with visible standing water, but area’s that will not dry, have potential drainage issues.  An area of yard up close to your house staying wet, may be causing foundation damage or crawl space water issues. It can cause rotting of foundations, cracks in the foundation, mold and mildew, and much more.  You don’t want that!

There are many different ways that we can help you with your drainage issues.  Todd can assess the yard to see what would be the best way to fix your drainage issue.
